Spring season is in the air in Japan, and is a spectacular time of year to visit. It’s at this time of year people swoon over the beautiful pink cherry blossoms, and when locals and tourists alike indulge in one of the nation’s all-time favourite pastimes – hanami, meaning “flower viewing” and refers to flower appreciation picnics under the blooms. The blossoms bloom all over the country, and here are some of the breathtaking photos from, Tokyo, to Kyoto, to the most famous of all cherry blossom locations of them all Yoshino in the Nara prefecture.
One of the most beautiful landscapes, is the view from Chureito Pagoda, if you lucky to go on a clear day with Mount Fuji visible, surrounded by cherry blossoms, it really is the quintessential Japanese experience not to be missed.
